First Hotel Dragonen is a family-run hotel in central Umeå, a five-minute walk from the Central Station and the pedestrian street with great shopping. With 93 rooms and four conference rooms – one at 240 m² that fits up to 250 people – the hotel is a great choice for conferences, events, romantic breaks and active getaways. Within walking distance, you’ll find Norrland’s Opera, Guitars – the museum and Umeå river. During winter, you can go ice-skating, dogsledding, or cross-country skiing.

Enjoy traditional Swedish food with a local touch at Harriets, our hotel restaurant. Relax in our lounge with a hot or cold beverage, or unwind after a busy day in our relaxation area with a sauna and – if you dare – try the “ice bucket”.

At First Hotel Dragonen and Harriets we offer versatile conference rooms and meeting rooms, as well as spacious event facilities. Our largest room, Harriets Salong, can accommodate 250 guests with optional catering and private bar. In addition to our meeting and conference rooms, we have four group rooms perfectly suited to board meetings, job interviews, private meetings or as break rooms during large conferences. The rooms all have high-tech equipment and WiFi with fixed internet access.

We will gladly tailor your event, no matter if it’s a conference, wedding, annual dinner or corporate event, and we will happily assist you to organise everything from guest speakers to entertainment and technical equipment.

    Are you looking for a spacious conference or event venue in central Umeå? Then roomy Harriets Salong (Harriets Saloon) with its 240 m² of floor space and high ceiling is the perfect choice for everything from weddings and conferences to corporate events.

    The room has equipment for lighting, sound and video to meet your needs, and the design of the room ensures a good view for all guests. Optional services include catering and a private bar, and we will gladly help to tailor your event with menu suggestions, guest speakers, entertainment and technical equipment.

    Equipment: 2 projectors, speaker system, 4 cordless microphones, 1 lapel microphone, stage lighting, coloured wall lights, whiteboard, flipchart, WiFi and fixed internet on the stage.

    In the bright and cheerful room that we have named Bakfickan (The Backpocket), the sun is always shining. The room measures 70 m² and is ideal for morning meetings with a hotel breakfast and for full-day conferences or multi-day training courses.

    To give conference guests a change of scenery and allow them to stretch of their legs, we usually serve coffee and lunch in our cosy lounge. If you would prefer for coffee to be served in the venue, we will gladly arrange it.

    Equipment: projector, speaker, glass board, flipchart, WiFi and fixed internet for the glass board.
