Tips on things to do in Karlskrona

The world heritage city of Karlskrona has a lot to offer. Within walking distance of the hotel, you will find the popular Naval Museum, Blekinge Museum and of course the beautiful and picturesque archipelago.

Karlskrona Varmbadhus

If the winter seas have frozen or the summer seas are cooler than average then Karlskrona Varmbadhus from 1904 offers two pools with 32C and 23C warm water respectively. There is also a steam room and dry sauna, Jacuzzi and relaxation cabins.

Karlskrona Varmbadhus is located next to the swimming centre approx. 500 metres from the hotel.

Karlskrona Archipelago

Karlskrona Archipelago, which is Sweden’s southernmost, consists of 1,650 islands, islets and skerries. Here, there are plenty of opportunities to discover your favourite seaside spot. Ideal for swimming, picnics and recreation. There are boat trips from Fisketorget and Handelshamnen, both of which are easily accessible from the hotel.

Perhaps the next departure will take you to Aspö for a bike ride, Blekinge’s largest island, Sturkö, or maybe Hasslö, which is dubbed “Little Hawaii” by locals.

Rödebybacken Ski Slope

Located in Rödeby 10 km outside central Karlskrona, Rödebybacken is a 320-metre ski slope that reaches a height of 61 meters. Two ski lifts take you to the top.

If you have not brought your own equipment, you can rent skis, snowboards, ski boots, helmets and more on site.

Bryggarberget – Best view in Karlskrona

Climb Bryggarberget and enjoy the views of both the city and archipelago.

Here, there is also a café and restaurant should you crave a little coffee or food after walking the 2.5 kilometres from the hotel.

The Naval Museum

If you are interested in the history of Swedish Navy do not miss to visit this fantastic museum.

The Marin Museum located In the middle of the historic environment on the island of Stumholmen in Karlskrona and its beautiful building stretches out on a pier into the water.

Here, everyone has the chance to experience the Swedish navy's eventful history in a place that for hundreds of years belonged to the defense force.
