Things to do in Lidköping

Rörstrand Center with shop, museum and café

A short walk from the hotel, you find the Rörstrand Center. Here you can buy porcelain and Nordic design products at the Rörstrand Iittala Fiskars Outlet and explore the history of one of Europe’s oldest porcelain factories – Rörstrand – at the Rörstrand Museum.

The museum displays objects from the 18th century until today. If you need to relax after all the impressions, you can enjoy a cup of coffee at the Rörstrand Museum Café. Here you will find local sandwiches and house-baked bread, salads and delicious bakery goods.

Experience history at Läckö Castle

Läckö Castle is one of Western Sweden’s most-visited tourist destinations and is located around half an hour’s drive from Hotell Rådhuset – First Partner Collection. The castle is situated on a headland in Lake Värnen and dates back to the heydays of Swedish power. Läckö Castle is open to the public and offers exhibitions, concerts and opera performances.

About 350 metres from the castle you also find Naturum and Victoriahuset. Here you can learn more about Lake Värnen and the archipelago in the area, as well as stay, eat in the restaurant and venture on guided boat trips or kayak on the lake.

Nature experiences at Kinnekulle

Kinnekulle is a popular tourist destination near Lidköping. The mountain lies on the south-eastern shore of Värnen and reaches 306 metres above sea level.

So, strap on your hiking boots and walk the 45-km hiking trail around the mountain and experience the surrounding protected natural area. Or climb to the top and enjoy amazing views of the countryside.

From the hotel, it takes approximately 15 minutes by car to reach Kinnekulle.
